Data & sharing
Plain-language summary of what we collect, how we use it, and what we share. Read before you read the footer — we wrote it short on purpose.
What we collect
When you use GoGarden, we may collect:
- Email, if you submit it (e.g. “email me this estimate” or “get a quote”).
- Project details you enter or trace: dimensions, materials, estimated cost, timeline.
- Location data: ZIP code (if you provide it) and approximate city/region/country from your IP address.
- IP address and basic browser info, so we can run the service and stop abuse.
- Anonymous events: which calculators you used, when, and whether you clicked key buttons.
How we use it
- To send your estimate if you ask for it.
- To improve the service based on which features are used and where.
- To help match you with a local pro if and when you submit a quote request — never automatically.
What we share
We do not sell your data. Two narrow forms of sharing may happen:
- In aggregate (e.g. “47 SF Bay users computed mulch projects this month”) — we may publish anonymized stats to show market demand to potential partners. No individual is identifiable.
- Individually — your contact info and project details — only when you use the “Get a free quote” feature, and only with local pros we believe could help. Pros are subject to terms restricting use to your project.
What we won't do
- We will not sell your data to advertisers, data brokers, or list aggregators.
- We will not share your contact info without you having initiated a quote request.
- We will not spam you. Emails relate to estimates or quotes you asked for.
Your rights
- Request deletion of any data we hold about you, at any time.
- Request a copy of your data, at any time.
- Email hello@gogarden.studio for either.
Pre-launch note
GoGarden is pre-launch. As the product evolves, this policy will too — we'll update the date below and call out major changes here. Cookies and trackers used today are limited to first-party Supabase auth and Vercel Analytics (privacy-respecting; no personal-data cookies). If that changes, this page will say so.
